Dr. Spencer is a board-certified Addiction Psychiatrist who graduated from medical school at Tulane University School of medicine as part of the “Katrina Class” of 2009. He completed a medical internship at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, and then completed a psychiatry residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, serving as Chief Resident. After graduation from residency, he completed a 1-year fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry from the University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) Medical Center.

From 2014-2016, he served as Medical Director for chemical dependency treatment at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, TX - developing a comprehensive treatment program for patients struggling with addiction and mental illness.

From 2016-2018, he served as Medical Director for outpatient substance use in the Psychiatry department at UTSW, where he helped develop and manage an outpatient substance use clinic and Intensive Outpatient Program for addiction.

 

Currently, he is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at UTSW and runs an outpatient private practice in Addiction Psychiatry in Preston Center in Dallas. In addition to his Board seat at Another Solution, he serves on the board of advisors for Nexus Treatment Center.

Lee lives in Dallas with his wife, two daughters and Standard Poodle.
