This is the testimonial of one of the many beneficiaries of a scholarship from Another Solution, Inc.:

"Hello, my name is _______. I am twenty years old, and I have been using drugs for almost two years now. I have been in and out of work over the past year and a half, about the same timeframe that my drug use was the top priority in my life.

The reason that I've decided that I want to quit using drugs is rather basic. Through my experiences in using and selling drugs, I believed that there were only two ways out for the longest time, incarceration or death. More recently I began to consider the possibility of sobriety. This option had not entered my mind up until about two months ago. By that time I was addicted to snorting heroin, as well as smoking weed. I had also used just about every other thing I had heard of. The most difficult part of sobering up, as I could see it, was going to be the withdrawals from the heroin, more commonly known as being 'sick'.

I consider myself a very strong person, but the desire seems to come from so deep down that I recognize the possibility of me losing this battle. That's not what I want. I want to be 100% sober all of the time. I want to remember how to live life without alcohol and drugs. I do not know how to do these two things, and that is what I want out of treatment.

This is the testimony of the parent of one of the ASI beneficiaries:

I can't tell you how much we appreciate the scholarship that has been provided for [our son] to attend [an alcohol and drug abuse treatment facility]. We are so impressed with the facility, with the counselors there, and with the program they have for the boys in their care. Establishing a scholarship program to assist families with long term and expensive treatments is an inspiration! Please include us in future fund-raising programs for Another Solution, Inc. If we are not able to help financially, I'll gladly make phone calls, address envelopes, lick stamps, do anything to help.

We will be your fans forever!
