While attending the Greater Dallas Crime Commission's luncheon honoring the Officer of the Year on April 14, 1999, Dallas Police Chief Ben Click, Lois Jordan (ASI Committee Board Member), and her husband, Bill, talk about Lois's being on the Dallas Police Department's Task Force on underage drinking in the Metroplex.

On March 14, 1999, Lois was a guest with Highland Park Police Chief Darrell Fant on KRLD's Legal Eagles show. U.S. Attorney Paul Coggins (the show's host), Lois, and Chief Fant discussed underage drinking and the legal ramifications for both parents and children. Lois also spoke on the warning signs parents should look for if they suspect their children are becoming addicted to alcohol and drugs.

Bill and Lois visited with Mrs. Betty Ford and President Gerald Ford about Lois's winning the longest drive contest at the Betty Ford Annual Reunion Golf Tournament in November, 1998.
